Hey everybody!!! I haven't forgotten about the whole blogging thing - it's actually because of our computer. I always downloaded pictures from our memory card from our camera, and now the slot in the front of the computer, is not reading my card anymore. So, now I have to figure how to hook my camera up directly to the computer - and suggestions would be great!! So, until them, everyone will just have to read my babbling!!!!!
Things have been busy since Christmas time...........It seemed like it took me awhile to recover from all of the Holiday Festivities this year! It was great having all my family here from Ohio, and my sister and her new husband, up here for a few days.
The boys' are all doing really well in school - and they still enjoy it, and they're over halfway done!! We had all there conferences last week with their teachers, and it was a blessing to hear that they are doing good academically, and also in there behavior. We want them to be different - in a good way - and that's what each of their teachers said of them.
Caleb has a 3 month substitute - since his full-time teacher just had a baby, and his name is Mr. Aulm. He taught 6th grade for 35 years at North Branch, and just retired last year, only to come back and substitute - I guess when you've taught for that long, it's in your blood. So, he was able to give us some insight on what we have to expect next year, with Caleb going into the middle school ----more prayers will be going upwards!! But, we trust that all the sound teachings from the Word of God that we are trying to instill in him and the other boys' at home, will help to be his stronghold when he's there admid the things of the world. Caleb just finished 2 pretty big projects at school - 1st was his report on George Washington; He has to write a paper, and also make a model of him out of a bottle. Was real fun!!! The 2nd was a pop-up book of our solar system, which he did a really cool job on! Both of these projects were mostly 95% done at school. On his George Washington report, he had a hand-written paper, and also a 5 point slideshow presentation that he did on the computer - we were able to see that at conferences - was neat!! I'm proud to say that he got a 95% on the George Washington report, and a 46/50 on his Science project.
Micah is Micah. Whatelse is there to say!! He is doing excellent in his school work, with the only complaint is that he sometimes likes to show off & talk! Huh@@@!!!! Big suprise!!! lol........We did have a little discussion about that, but overall it's just part of his character that he has to keep in check!! Micah loves his technology classes, and taking his AR test - which he's above his goal already, which means he is getting something done. Micah had a project this last quarter, in which he had to do a family geneology report on - so he did it on our German roots!! He had to research the country and also make a doll that showed how the Germans dressed back in the 1800- 1900's. He was proud that he got an "A" on it!!!
Joshua, Joshua, Joshua!! I'm glad that Kindergarden has only been every other day this year -- just for Mom's sake. Oh, how I miss him - my baby!!! He loves his teacher Mrs. Hendrick's - and everytime we've spoken with her, she always comments on what a sweet, polite, little boy we have!! He's so excited now, because they have finally started reading! He comes home with a new book each night, and the first thing he has out of his backpack before he's even in the door - is his envelope with his new book. I'm so EXCITED, because he's so EXCITED!! It's neat to see them all grow!!
As for Mom and Dad!! Well, we're just trying to keep the big circus going. Sometimes I'm not sure if I'm coming..........or going.............but they say that these are some of the best years' of our lives, and one day we'll be wishing for the hecticness again - running to B-ball games, going to kid's club, going to tae kwon doe lessons, and so on!! Sometimes it's hard to slow down long enough to let all these fun times sink in........It's amazing the older I get, the quicker time fly's by.............does anyone else think that, or is it just me? I'm so thankful to be able to be here everyday the boys' get on and off the school bus, and so thankful for the precious time that we do have with the boys' - well I said that this was going to be my babbling.....and sure enough it turned out to be just that!! Hope you all are doing well, and hopefully I'll have some new pictures to post soon!!
